A 3-0 loss to Vegas in Game 7 wasn’t the ending the Canucks deserved. However, when you consider they battled from 3-1 down to force this game, the story reads differently. Vancouver showed a tremendous amount of spirit and skill. Travis Green and his young side have proven that there is life in this franchise with a clutch of new talent. The Stanley Cup won’t be returning to Canada for yet another year, but you have to concede this could be the start of something exciting. All through this week Canucks fans have been sweating furiously while the Brock Boeser trade rumours swirled. Word on the grapevine according to Matt Sekeres of TSN 1040 in Vancouver was that the Canucks were having cap issues. To free up some room, a potential Boeser trade was apparently on the cards. Jim Benning has dismissed these rumours claiming he has ‘no intention’ of trading one of his stars. He even went further to suggest ‘someone made that up’. Benning on Boeser: "It's hard to find guys that can shoot the puck and score like he can. You can find other pieces as you rebuildRead More →

Although Brock Boeser‘s drawn-out contract negotiation was a troubling sign, this is now sorted and there is hope in Vancouver this season. The Canucks for once have made a splash in the free-agent market. The attack has been strengthened on the wings and the blue line for once has sufficient depth. Last season Elias Pettersson‘s Calder winning efforts were a bright spot in another average year. This season Travis Green hopes put to B.C.’s finest back on the map again and not just play for draft picks. Notable Players In:  J.T. With the school year ending, an impressive class (arguably the best ever) of RFAs are ready to graduate to bigger and better contracts. So with so many talented students ready to reap their just rewards, we ask ourselves, who’ll head to the top of the class? Will any be starting with a new school? And for the love of God can we please stop talking about Mitch Marner… Embed from Getty Images Mitch Marner: The Popular Kid The one all the teachers seem to be discussing. On Thursday night there wasn’t a dry eye to be seen at Rogers Arena. Henrik and Daniel Sedin are officially retiring from the game. Although Arizona gave the Canucks a hard time- Daniel’s overtime winner sent Vancouver fans into ecstasy. Officially the greatest pair of twins and the highest scoring Swedish duo in NHL history. The only thing that was missing for the Sedins was their names on the cup. DANIEL SEDIN! Due to suffering their worst season in 18 years, the Vancouver Canucks have made a change. Today, Travis Green has become the new Head Coach. For the last four years, Green has been coach their AHL affiliate Utica Comets. During his time there he has accumulated a record of 55-110-29 record in 304 games.
