At Christmas we look for peace on Earth, and goodwill to all men (even Maple Leafs fans). But the Dallas Stars’ CEO Jim Lites didn’t get that message and instead of spreading seasonal joy, decided to let rip on some the Stars’ top talent. While the Hart Trophy is rightfully awarded to the league’s best player, it also leaves a trail of broken hearts. There are only three spots available for nominees which always causes immense competition. As a result, many of these fine players on this list missed out on the big prize. Stars Falling in Dallas

Despite a 5-2 win over Arizona last night, the Dallas Stars are a far cry from the year before. After several seasons in the wilderness, last season looked like a turning point. Finally Head Coach Lindy Ruff has assembled a dominant unit. Throughout the regular season, they looked a force to be reckoned with.
