The 4th Line Hockey Podcast #247 – The Elite Pacific Division Preview

It’s time for hockey to start! As prospect’s camp, and soon to be NHL camps, are open it’s time to start our division previews! But first….

Jake Gardiner has signed with the Carolina Hurricanes. Why did it take so long?

Zach Werenski signed an extension with the Columbus Bluejackets, which means that A RESTRICTED FREE AGENT SIGNED!

Niklas Kronwall retired. But is he done with the Red Wings?

The NHL’s marketing strategy was highlighted this week, and spoilers, it’s weird.

And now, the Pacific division preview! In a division won the by the Calgary Flames last year, the offseason saw James Neal and Milan Lucic swap teams, Phil Kessel join a team, Joe Pavelski leave a team and a lot of the teams do, well, nothing. What does that mean for 2019-2020? Will the elite players in the division step up?

We also hand out a copy of Mike Commito’s book, Hockey 365.

All this and more on episode 247 of the 4th Line Hockey Podcast!

The 4th Line Podcast is a weekly hockey podcast hosted by Carl Landra and Nick Seguin. Every week they share their unique and fun take on what is happening in the world of hockey. While they don’t take themselves too seriously, they have a typical no 4th line attitude: what they lack in finesse, they make for in being willing to go to the corners and work hard to get the job done.

Who are Carl and Nick? Carl comes from Calgary, AB. His facial hair of choice is a mustache. His team of choice is the Colorado Avalanche and his smoked meat of choice is brisket.  Nick comes from Toronto, ON. His facial hair of choice is a light beard. His team of choice is the Detroit Red Wings and his smoked meat of choice is ribs.
